Stage Two: Asphyxia, Child Neglect, Fire, Pedestrian and Poisoning
Both the National Center for Child Death Review and the Children’s Safety Network Project collaborated to develop these best practice guidelines. Funding came from separate agreements to each center: grant No. 1 U93 MC 00225-01 and grant No 05-381.0.03.01 from the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (Title V, Social Security Act), Health Resources and Services Administration, Department of Health and Human Services.

The Child Death Review Capacity-Building Project was based at the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center in Seattle, Washington. The project was supported by a grant from HRSA, through its EMS-C Targeted Issues Grant Program (1H34MC02543-01-033).
